- a master’s degree from a recognized university;
- good language skills;
- experience in content development in General Studies/the academic field;
- ability to research and consult relevant reference sources to check if the coverage of a given subject is adequate and accurate.
- general knowledge and awareness of current developments;
- ability to edit content for its accuracy and relevance, rewrite passages if required, get copy ready for print, and coordinate with writers–

Requires an assistant editor in History for English section.
The work mainly involves content development in the subject concerned, including multiple choice questions, editing manuscripts/typescripts submitted by authors, and getting a piece of work print ready, focused on preparation for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and other competitive examinations.
The work may extend to content development in topics of current interest.
Applicants should be postgraduates in History from a recognised university.
Experience in editorial capacity in a publishing company would be an added qualification.
Experience of/acquaintance with civil services examinations would be welcome.
They must have the ability to research and consult relevant reference sources to check if the coverage of a given subject is adequate and accurate.
They must have the ability to express thoughts and ideas fluently and grammatically in English.
They must have a meticulous eye for detail to ensure that the published content is well written and free of ambiguities and factual errors.
They must have a keen interest in current events and general knowledge.
